There is an increasing recognition of the value of nature-connection for mental and physical health within the NHS, local council services, and VSOs – with the government investing £5.77 million into Green Social Prescribing Projects across test sites in the UK.
Many people who have trained in Forest Bathing want to offer funded programmes for different groups in need, for example:
- people living with cancer
- people living with chronic pain
- people in recovery from addiction
- people with complex disabilities
- parents of children with mental health conditions
- refugees and asylum seekers
- people with anxiety and depression
But how do you go about setting up a project? Where does the money come from? How do you build partnerships? What have stumbling blocks have people encountered in getting things off the ground? And what does this all mean for the future commissioning nature-based wellbeing interventions in the U.K.?
This webinar is interactive session where those already doing the work will share their experiences and everyone can ask questions. We will have an overview of the general landscape of green social prescribing and share practical resources to support people to get projects off the ground. We will be mapping where everyone is at, and where they are encountering challenges – and we will have small group discussions around particular themes.
Please do join us and become part of the Nature and Therapy CIC community!
This event will be recorded.
